Cherrywood School Song
Between Keith Gunn and Jim Armstrong, I have put together parts of the Cherrywood School song. I am not sure if there were additional versus, or if I even have them in the correct order. Can anyone help in putting it all together ?
Jim Armstrong said that the tune was A which Elvis made popular in the late '50s. Here is a midi sample of the tune . . . Aura Lee
Cherrywood School Song
Far away though we may roam
as the years go by,
in our hearts' fond memory
we will hear the cry;
as the years go by,
in our hearts' fond memory
we will hear the cry;
~
(Chorus)
Cherrywood ! Cherrywood !
Hail to Cherrywood !
God bless all our work and play
here in Cherrywood..
Hail to Cherrywood !
God bless all our work and play
here in Cherrywood..
~
Teachers Friends and Happy Time
In Our Hearts we'll Hold
As We Hear The Cheers and Cries
For the Colours Red and Gold.
In Our Hearts we'll Hold
As We Hear The Cheers and Cries
For the Colours Red and Gold.
~
(Chorus)
Cherrywood ! Cherrywood !
Cherrywood ! Cherrywood !
Hail to Cherrywood !
God bless all our work and play
here in Cherrywood..

Hi Larry,
The tune is Aura Lee which Elvis used for Love Me Tender which is different from your sound link. I'm not much good at sending links, hope this comment helps. How was the vacation? Trust you still have some tan!
In Peace
James
Thank Jim,
I have corrected the link.
The Vacation was GREAT. My wife and I went to Florida for a couple of weeks. I don't know about a tan, but its great to get out of the cold.
